Will we get a viewing area this year for the bus stop?

they had talked about it from what i was told right after the rolex this past year. it would only make sense to just run a tram over there. i havent heard anything about it since the initial discussion. but i can poke around and find out if anything else was said if you guys give me some time.

ok here is the deal. im being told that it is still up in the air. thet are debating on the cost of running the tram vs. the amount of people they think that would go over there. so ive been advised to tell everyone interested to send requests to the speedway via email for a service to go on the back stretch so they know there is a demand.

Is there a viewing area for the bus stop? Tram would be nice but not necessary you do a lot of walking at the Rolex I for one would walk there to view the racing.  I am not aware there is a viewing area there where you can see the chicane.  I know there are fans that would be interested in viewing it.  Would there be enough to justify a tram most likely not . If there is a viewing area there and fans were made aware of it it would be a popular spot racing fans.  Years ago when the track added the chicane I walked over there to see it and discovered only corner workers had a view.  Fan viewing was not possible.  At that time there was a small grandstand on the outside of the track but it was closed for the 24 hour race.  Has the situation change do we have a viewing area for the Bus Stop? What  email address do we use for the track?

it looks like i got a blow off answer from a source as i cant seem to find an email address. im out of town for a few weeks, when i get back ill stop by the ticket office and see what other options i have. as far as the viewing area, im guessing they would just put temp bleachers up. the thing with the rolex is everyone there walks all day and people are looking to explore. i think eventually people will find their way over there. im gonna continue to pursue this. ill update everyone on any progress or lack there of. i had contact with a speedway rep last year before the race and its something they had discussed prior. and continued this year. so hopefully someone from GA is reading this.

I would love to have Bus Stop viewing, even if it was a small grandstand on the infield. You do enough walking anyways I woudn't mind walking back there.

The only viewing would be from the outside backstretch grandstands (its a long walk without a tram).

Backstretch grandstands are not open for the Rolex 24.  Save your self the walk.  They would not be worth the trip if your purpose was to view the Bus Stop. It would be a failure very few fans would take advantage of it. A small temporary grandstand in the infield is what would be popular because of the view it would provide.
