I can't find it on YouTube, but did any of you see the footage of Mr. Family Man having a meltdown at VIR in the cockpit of D. Donohue?  It was part of the intro coverage for NJ.

What I saw was an ego out of control.  A big suprise for sure.  Does he really think he has the right to confront people the way he did, using the kind of language and attitude that he did?

Sad.

Sorry if this was discussed before, but I had not seen it.

He is only human and if you saw the way he was ran over I would think that would be a pretty good reason to make most race car drivers upset.

Given the serious injuries that Scott has overcome in the sport, and given the dangerious nature of the business, I can see someone going off!

I do not know of one driver who has not gotten in sombody's face due to an on-track incident. It happens weekly. The difference here is that Pruitt got caught by a camera during a meltdown.

You're only guilty if you get caught!

He is not the first and certainly wont be the last driver "caught" in the face of a competitor.

It is ok for him to constantly run over other people but when it gets done to him he acts like that- what a punkish reaction! I USED to have ALOT of respect for him but between his actions on and off the track the past year he has taken ALL that respect away.
I would love to see Pruitt get in JC's face like that.

Have you ever heard of competition and the will to win.  Constantly running over people what series do you watch, Pruett is a class act.

Whether he hit him on purpose or by accident, Donahue made a huge mistake.  Scott reaction was what competitors feel in that situation.  Calling it a meltdown is ridiculous.  Donahue is lucky the reaction was not more severe.

Both the 76 and the 01 need to stand up for themselves and put some contact on the 58, since the stewards gave them a free pass at VIR.  You cannot have the other racers thinking you are soft.

So what would be "more severe"?  Maybe bashing his helmeted head against the roll bar, or a mano-a-mano confrontation at the hauler.  WTF?  Pruett's reaction was 50% ego, and 50% road rage.

I have to agree.  Pruett is consistently talked about as being one of the best and most experienced drivers out there.  He's also one of the oldest, and therefore should be one of the most mature.  It seems to me that he should have been more "professional" in his response to Donohue's mistake.  Waiting for Donohue to get out of the car, and then having a heated discussion with him (not a fight - a discussion) later, would have been more professional, and probably more productive.  It also would have prevented him from looking like he has severe anger issues on TV.
