Out of complete boredom waiting for an email im looking at the old entry lists for past 24s. i know pathetic way to kill time. but its amazing to see all the people that have participated and the cars and the sponsors. i even forgot about the infiniti a few years back. but whats really sad is to see all the teams that you cant click on for alink to their website. i dont want to start another holy war about sponsor dollars or car counts or why the 24 was better in the camel days. might i just suggest to take a trip back down memory lane a few years and remember all those cars you forgot.

Sign of the times -- every series is affected by bad economies; it's just that some are less affected than others. (Never mind the MCF with Krohn and Lola.... :P )

Are you talking about the Infinity G35 GT? that car was sexy as hell.  I think it ran in practices but never made it to the qualifying or race...not really sure.

My favorite one-off was Anatoly Arutunoff's Lancia Stratos.

Here's a picture of the car at Daytona in '82:

The Stratos was a great rally car, and a strange but cool IMSA GTU machine.

Not to mention APOCALYPTICALLY *LOUD*.... :)

(Tho' I understand someone brought a De Havilland Vampire to the Jet Class at Reno this year, so there may be a new leader in the "Loudest Racing Vehicle Ever" category. :) )
