ALMS just released their 2010 Schedule...they have a May 22 event at Laguna. The traditional GA weekend. Wonder where that puts GA in California??

Hope they don't give up on the west coast, Laguna Seca is a real good venue. Infinion would be a good choice ,run the same weekend with NASCAR? Lots of sports car fans in Ca.,and they are two good tracks for the series. If GA (Idon't think they will ) only runs midwest and eastern us events, they could go the way of Riverside.

Hey Sorry nkoske... avg temp at indy in may is 63. Sure not CA weather, but nice racing weather. The Koni VIR race coming up in october is avg temp of 57 in Alton... Oh yeah the indy 500 is the last day in May.... just wishful thinking... sorry for the input.....

with IMS under new management, anything is possible ; end of May with the 500 or end of July with the 400 ... lots of time available on both race weekends ... the 500 has Friday with Lights and Saturday open ... race fans already there, could be HUGE.
400 could be made to work as there is no other supporting event on the schedule that Cup weekend. Where there is a will, there is a way, whatcha think Mr E & Mr Hunter ??

I'm very curious what the 2010 schedule will look like. I believe we'll see an Indy date if only Pirelli brings a little better product to the track. ( Heard from somone that the tires were trash there. )
When does the GA schedule usually come out?

The schedule is usually announced at the season end banquet. Sometimes they only release a tentative one, since certain venues cannot or will not confirm things 100%. Remember last year when they cancelled Mexico City? The promoters there could not guarantee the date in time for the long advance of customs and other logistics that have to be in place for the event to happen. Racing is more than a bunch of good ole boys showing up and runnin' what ya brung.
