I wish someone would run an Audi again in GS. The Jedi Master did a great job in those cars.
your wish is their command ... just for you JJ, our favorite team (APR) will be rocking in 2010

KONI cars with 30mm cannons -- well, it'd put a stop to blocking, that's for sure.... :)

It'll be interesting to see what happens with APR after being caught for cheating twice on their cars in one year. Either GA's tech is the most efficient in the world or APR is cheating even more than we thought.

^^ when you come to villagi's house (this thread), please comport yourself with respect and decorum ; take your issues elsewhere.
Koni Challenge is shaping up to be the Series for 2010. New exciting cars coming in from all directions, both in GS and ST. Reminds me of the early Camel GT days (mid 70's), with the GTO and GTU classes. Maybe GA will now take the Koni show up to a higher level, with every race televised ? Paired up with other series ... back to the Caribbean (PR and/or DR, heck, Jaimaca's got a 'decent' circuit ).
This show is a headliner anywhere in North-Central-South- Americas.

Your memory doesn't go back far enough!!
I-moto- to much fuel
Kensia (now compass 360) with cams at barber some years ago.
Many teams have been caught cheating/pushing the envelope.
Back when the cobalts were caught, there was some other issues going on in the series, that could/did lead to this. That problem is gone now..
The I-moto thing was good, it forced GA to nail a process for the fuel capacity.
And what they did at daytona WAS NOT what they had been doing previously.
In fact daytona scared a certain set of other cars enough that they change what they had going one fuel tank wise too.
The only thing, for me IMO, that sucks about APR. Is they just didn't take the punishment and walk on.
The cobalts did at Utah, I-moto did at daytona, Kensai did at Barber.
I don't think teams should be that worried about APR. No desrespect to them but I don't see them as a Tri-Point, RTR, SpeedSource, TRG, Turner.
And WC is a WHOLE NOTHER ball game. As some one who works both series, it really isn't a apples to apples.

I hear that the ST Mini's are going to be the new Turbo drivelines next year. Village Idgiot, with your spies and moles in the paddock, I am sure you know what's up. Care to share????
needed to edit that a bit ... Villagi prefers to fly under the radar ...
some of what this idgiot knows cannot be said or commented until the teams announce for themselves via formal launch event or press release.
Witness the new APR GS Audi launch ... the worst kept secret in the paddock but it was up to them to formally announce, then we can comment ...
where GA was not clear and concise in their release here on this website is that APR will also be fielding brand new 2010 GTI MK6's, super sweet looking ST cars ....
have heard the same buzz on the Minis but the good folks at Marren are very quiet these days, maybe Randy S can give us an appetizer or a spy photo will come out after a private test day, count on them being faast !
also can't wait to see the new Mazda3 the fellas at the SourceofSpeed are Race Engineering for ST ...
Daytona test days will be a photog's dream ... and expect every team to dedicate a data guy to be out there timing everyones splits, both infield and from T-6 to the 100 ' marker before T-1 ... with a whole bunch of radar guns located in the grandstand above that 100' marker ... sandbaggin gonna be taken to a whole nother level at these tests ...
you'll find this "idgiot" timimg from the first 'shoe to the second and from T6 to the bus stop, me says it's the best way to see who really got motor, as i don't have any moles inside GA ... only they get to see the teams real data ...
gonna be an awesome new year in Koni
