Hey everyone, I am a college grad looking for a job on a race team. I have a good background of cars, motors and building stuff. I know how to weld, build engines, tune engines on and off the dyno. I like a good challenge and i never give up until i get it done. If any one out there can help point me in the right direction to getting a job i would be greatly appreciative. I've already sent out resume's to roughly 14 of the Rolex series companies. If anyone else has work available, send me a PM and i will get a resume out to you. Just give me your email or phone number.
Thank you for your time,
Andy Weinle

Please don't take this the wrong way but as a potential employer I would be less then impressed with your post. My spelling and punctuation are not the best but I have always believed that if you are looking for a job spell right, punctuate properly, and capitalize where necessary EVEN on an internet forum. You need to speak and type clear thoughts, avoid words such as "stuff" to describe things you build or do. You need to put your best foot forward, even on the internet.
Good luck,
Bonez

Bonez,
You are correct. I employ about 10 - 12 people per year. What I see a lot of is a "Hey it's racin' - lets all hang out and mess with some cool cars". The correct attitude is - "There's a lot of expensive equipment here and people's lives are on the line when the car goes on the track and crew lives on the line in the pits. Let's take a military mindset and be pragmatic and professional about everything, realizing that few can truly make a living in pro racing and there is no room for anything less, except blowing off a little steam over beers at dinner or in the Hotel".
I'm not saying that Andy has the wrong attitude, but based on what I deal with, outsiders tend to think racing is a big party. The best in this business are focused and disciplined - like Bonez was when he was a superhero crew guy back in the day. Team Model T, I think?

Bonez and Matt,
I greatly appreciate your help and efforts to put me on the right track. It really shows me that there are really great professionals in this line of work, not only on the track but also off. I will rewrite my Job Search Ad and will send you both a Private Message with the link and asking for your time to read that posting and for your opinion, If that is okay with you both?
Thank you for your time,
Andy Weinle
